Suprema ID at ID4Africa 2018

by Mark Rowe

Suprema ID, the biometrics and ID product company, is to unveil fingerprint enrollment scanners featuring machine learning based Live Fingerprint Detection(LFD) technology at the ID4Africa 2018 exhibition. It runs in Abuja, Nigeria from April 24 to 26.

RealScan-G10 and RealScan-D series, Suprema’s fingerprint enrollment scanners, now provide anti-spoofing security with what’s claimed to be a world’s first; live fingerprint detection based on machine learning. The product developers say their new LFD technology was developed to overcome inherent limitations of multi-finger live scanners by applying a machine learning methods that analyses and categorizes image patterns according to optical characteristics of various possible fake fingerprint materials. With LFD, RealScan Series live scanners eliminates possible fraud using various fake fingerprint materials including clay, rubber, silicon, paper and film, says Suprema ID. The company adds that the increased accuracy has been proven in field tests.

Bogun Park, CEO at Suprema ID said: “This new innovation clearly reflects Suprema ID’s commitment to innovation and market focus in ID solutions. Speaking of the new machine-learning based LFD, the technology has been designed to meet stringent security requirements of un-manned systems including automatic border control and kiosk. We are experiencing greater increase in demand for effective anti-spoofing technology on our multi-finger live scanning devices. With the innovation, Suprema ID will remain as a major provider of ID solutions in global market.”

At ID4Africa 2018, Suprema ID will demonstrate the new live fingerprint detection with RealScan-G10 and RealScan-D scanners. Visit Suprema ID stand (#C28) at ID4Africa 2018 or book a demo at www.suprema-id.com.
