Control room awards

A Norwich security company took three industry awards for their provision of CCTV control rooms for local authorities across the country. Broadland Guarding Services swept the board at the ceremony, named “CCTV Control Room of the Year”, “CCTV Control Room Team of the Year” and “Control Room Manager of the Year” by the National CCTV Users Group for its provision of UK CCTV Control Centres.

 

 

CCTV Control Room Manager, Tony Gleason and company Director, Frank Adamson, received the awards at the 2012 UK CCTV User Group Conference on May 29.

 

Mr Gleason, CCTV Control Room Manager at Bournemouth was presented with the “CCTV Control Room of the Year 2012” award by the National CCTV Users Group for its provision of CCTV Control Centres. Mr Adamson received the “CCTV Control Room Team of the Year” award on behalf of his team deployed at the Bournemouth Council CCTV Control Room.

 

There was also further success for Simon Habermehl (CCTV Control Manager – Bedford Borough Council) who received the “Control Room Manager of the Year” award. The “CCTV Control Room of the Year” award has been won by Broadland Guarding Services’ CCTV Operators for three successive years.  

 

The team beat 350 other CCTV Control Centres/Rooms to win the awards, which recognise excellence in CCTV Control Centre provision.

 

Amanda Geary, Managing Director of Broadland Guarding Services, said, “I am very proud and delighted to receive another award for the quality of our services, this time for the Bournemouth Council CCTV Control Centre.  It is a great credit to both the Company and the local community that the outstanding work carried out by the Bournemouth Council CCTV Control team is making a huge impact to ensure that Bournemouth’s streets are a safer place for those who work, live, trade, visit and enjoy the facilities of Bournemouth and its surrounding areas.”
