HD-SDI IR speed dome

by Mark Rowe

The CCTV distributor COP Security has released a new day-night 2.1Megapixel HD-SDI IR Speed Dome. Using a Panasonic imaging module, the dome’s 20x optical and 32x digital zoom capability delivers picture detail, supported by WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) to deal with varying light the distributor says. The dome comes with 256 pre-set positions and alarm inputs, to focus on events quickly, with offers pan and tilt speeds of up to 360 degree per second.

Allowing 24-hour coverage, the dome’s onboard OSRAM IR LED array features variable beam and flood illumination, fully selectable day-night IR cut filter and night-time imaging down to 0.001Lux at a distance of up to 150m – in complete darkness, according to the company.

The product comes with a fully cable managed wall bracket, to assist installers with camera installation, and a range of brackets including corner mounts, swan necks and pole mounts is also available.

Gareth Rhodes, COP Security’s Sales and Marketing Executive said: “The day-night camera’s full HD resolution enables installers and end-users to capture high-quality coverage of large areas, and finer detail via its powerful zoom lens. Completing the high-performance package, the dome is supplied with an IP66 rated weather proof housing and integral wiper, a built-in heater and fan, and a free 12-volt power supply. And for peace-of-mind, is backed by COP’s three-year warranty.”
