National distribution manager

IDIS has appointed Rob Clark as National Distribution Manager based out of the company’s European head office in Brentford, west London.

Rob is to focus on UK distribution sales. The company offers its flagship end-to-end surveillance product, DirectIP, IDIS Solution Suite, an enterprise-level video software management offering, as well as the recently launched DirectCX, a HD-TVI offering that delivers full-HD over coaxial cabling. Rob will be responsible for distribution partnerships while developing channel-marketing initiatives.

Rob brings over ten years’ experience in the security industry, particularly in video surveillance and access control with knowledge of IP and analogue technologies. He most recently held channel and business development positions at Sony and TDSi. Rob has a technical sales background having worked with end users, specifiers and installers.

Rob has also held sales positions at Lucent Technologies, Avaya, Genesis and Mitsubishi. He has OND in Mechanical Electrical and Electronic Engineering plus accreditations in voice, data networking, server based technologies, application and integration management across a range of technology vendors.
