by msecadm4921

WCCTV the mobile surveillance product company won a tender to manufacture, install, and monitor Rapid Deployment intrusion detection systems across many of National Grid’s sites for the next three years.

David Gilbertson Managing Director said: “Winning this tender confirms WCCTVs market leading position in the manufacture of Mobile Surveillance Solutions. Over 90 companies received the initial tender documentation so I am delighted that our bid was successful.”

WCCTV are to supply and install their re-deployable tower across many National Grid sites, they are to be used as deterrent systems to prevent intrusion and theft on site. The systems are monitored remotely on an alarm basis; when intrusion is detected an audible message is delivered to the intruder, and if they do not leave site escalation to the key-holder follows.

WCCTV say that their Tower can be moved from site to site. If power is lost at any time, the system automatically issues an alarm to the control room and switches to a back up battery located within the tower to enable surveillance to continue. The Tower also has an integral evidential recording device to capture information.
