Redvision after Intersec 2016

by Mark Rowe

Redvision, the UK manufacturer of the X-Series rugged PTZ dome cameras and Redcop rapid deployment systems, followed its showing at the annual Intersec Dubai exhibition with the appointment of international distributors and value-added resellers (VARs).

Intersec in January 2016 featured 1,280 exhibitors and saw more than 31,100 visitors from 127 countries. Before attending the show, Redvision used independent testing to verify that its X-Series cameras would tolerate the regions’ hotter climates, without compromising product longevity or warranty. The X-Series passed those tests, confirming the cameras quality construction and power management. It also according to Redvision reflected the firm’s thorough approach to entering a new market.

Paul Hucker, MD of Redvision, said: “Intersec enabled Redvision to showcase the X-Series rugged PTZ dome cameras to prospective customers from African, Middle Eastern and Southern European regions, as well as wider international markets. We saw increased awareness of our cameras across all regions. Many visitors were the budget holders and decision makers within their respective businesses and had the power to make immediate purchasing decisions. We anticipate the appointment of many new, international distributors and value-added resellers as a direct result of the exhibition.

“Our X-Series cameras are also the preferred video hardware platform of other Intersec exhibitors and technology partners; Ogier Electronics radar systems; UDP video analytics; and Eyelynx video management software. We created additional interest and awareness of our cameras as part of integrated radar, analytics and VMS technology solutions. We shared leads and information during the exhibition, including on live projects, and addressed real site needs using complementary, intelligent solutions. Due to the resounding success of Intersec, Redvision are planning many more international exhibitions.”
