RIVA at Security Essen

by Mark Rowe

RIVA were among the exhibitors at the Security Essen show in Germany. The German CCTV product company writes:

The main focus was on compact cameras, which can be used in small shops or in the home security sector. The new compact dome camera RC3402HD with motorized focus and zoom includes 14 built-in IR illuminators with an illumination distance up to 20m. The RC8102HD mini pinhole camera allows hidden video surveillance. The full HD camera can be installed flexibly and includes an image rotation for vertically oriented space. Both cameras are suitable for indoor applications. Like in all RIVA cameras the standard version of video analytics, powered by VCA Technology, is already integrated free and can be extended by optional filters. This new camera offers features like dual video stream, micro SD card slot for local recoding, integration via ONVIF compatibility, PoE, and wide dynamic range (WDR).

The interest in the new retail software PriVendo shows that IP cameras are no longer only used in the security sector but also becoming important for marketing. The software analyzes customer behavior, evaluates it statistically and presents results. Especially the presentation in form of heat maps and hot spots shows at one glance which areas are how popular or what are the most frequented sections. Based on the information which are generated by PriVendo, products can be placed and presented optimal, marketing campaigns can be planned, queues managed and staffing planned. Thus, retailers can improve their ROI (Return of Investment).

Beside the presentation of the RIVA IP cameras and the PriVendo retail software, the RIVA booth was supported by its VMS partners Cubitech, Axxon Soft and Luxriot as well as the technology partners Veracity and VCA Technology. Visit: www.rivatech.de.
