After-sales service

by Mark Rowe

The Taiwanese manufacturer VIVOTEK reports the expansion of its global after-sales service network and warranty policy on a range of its network cameras.

The company’s after-sales services include technical support, and product repair and replacement within the warranty period. The firm adds that it has cooperated with several Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) centers and valued global distributors, enabling them to provide VIVOTEK’s technical authorization. Earlier this year, the company signed a cooperative agreement with Mexico-based MDS (Mantenimiento de Seguridad). VIVOTEK has built a after-sales service at 16 sites across five continents, including four RMA centres and 12 distributors’ offices. The four RMA centres are at VIVOTEK’s headquarters in Taiwan, ComServe Network in the Netherlands, AGS Digital Service in Brazil and MDS in Mexico; the 12 distributors are in China, Indonesia, India, Iran, Egypt, South Africa, North America, Mexico, Ecuador, Chile and Argentina.

VIVOTEK also announced an extension of its warranty to three years for a series of its latest advanced network cameras. These include six fixed dome network cameras (FD8355HV, FD8355EHV, FD8365HV, FD8365EHV, FD8155H, and FD8165H); four bullet type network cameras (IP8355H, IP8355EH, IP8365H and IP8365EH); and two box network cameras (IP8155HP and IP8165HP). These cameras all feature WDR Pro, WDR Pro II (offering wide dynamic range), Supreme Night Visibility and weather-proofing. Customers, who have bought or are going to buy, can now have a three-year warranty for these 12 network cameras, expanded from the previous two-year warranty.

Steve Ma, Executive VP at VIVOTEK, said: “VIVOTEK, through seamless integration with local repair centres and also our valued distributors in various regions, has built a strong service network across the globe, ensuring timely customer support, and minimizing service latency. The expansion of our warranty period, in addition to demonstrating our strong belief in the high quality and durability of our products, will give our global customers even greater confidence in cooperating with VIVOTEK. In the near future, we will introduce the three-year warranty to even more models.” Visit www.vivotek.com.
