Video wall product suppliers Ultimate Visual Solutions (UVS) have confirmed a support package for clients using the Netpix series of video wall controllers after Leyard Europe announced it was discontinuing the range.
Netpix versions have become End of Production, subject to warranty support.ย UVS has supplied and installed Netpix video wall controller solutions to security control room clients within the UK and internationally for 19 years.ย It has installed hundreds of Netpix systems and continues to provide support for these systems, including annual maintenance contracts to clients, including telephone, remote (where available) and onsite support.ย UVS adds that it has a full upgrade path available for Netpix users with its Lucidity video wall controllers and software.
Ultimate Visual Solutions Managing Director Steve Murphy, pictured, said: โAs part of our ongoing strategic planning for our business, and as we have continued to support and supply the Netpix solution for clients who still wanted to use it, UVS has always considered what contingency plans we would be able to offer to Netpix clients if production of the Netpix solution did not continue in the long term.โ
The support includes:
- One of its Lucidity video wall controller models, WBC110, uses the same input and output cards as the Netpix and UVS has many yearsโ experience working with this technology
- UVS Lucidity software iworks with all Netpix controllers from the 4900 series onwards.
Steve Murphy added: โWe already have numerous clients who we have successfully transitioned from the Netpix video wall controller across to other video wall controller solutions, predominantly the UVS Lucidity video wall controller and software solution. UVSโs own Lucidity solution is โMade in Britainโ and totally developed, manufactured and supported in the UK by UVS.โ
The firm adds that Lucidity continues to be a choice for control rooms. Its range of controllers now offers increased processing power and enhanced flexibility.ย It is in use in police forces and government facilities such as prisons and fire and rescue command centres.
