Fire detection distributor

by Mark Rowe

The distributor Videcon has signed up to distribute Comelit’s range of EN45-13 compliant fire detection systems, including all addressable and conventional products. West Yorkshire-based Videcon says that it has recently evolved to introduce a fire safety offering, responding to a demand and increasing responsibility for British landlords and businesses to create a fire-safe environment. Hence, Videcon has partnered with Comelit to present its automatic fire detection systems.

Alan Fowlie, Fire Sales Director at Videcon, pictured, says: “Growth in the fire protection market has been significant, especially with the expected Fire Safety Bill coming into legislation, coupled with the increasing stringent fire safety regulations, technological advances and product innovations.

“As a company that stays abreast of latest solutions, we were keen to partner with Comelit, who are renowned for a proactive approach to future-proof technology, compliance and design. But alongside this, we were impressed with Comelit’s commitment to technical and sales training, so that we can all stay up to date with performance and specification requirements.”

Comelit’s fire systems products include control panels, automatic smoke and heat detectors, manual alarm devices, audio and visual indication devices, system accessories (electromagnetic stops, power supply units) and a range of wireless devices.

Mandy Bowden, Comelit Fire BDM added: “Videcon is a true leader, both in the security and now the fast-moving fire market. We are delighted to partner, and work closely with them using our in business together pledge, to ensure our customers can have access to a portfolio of fire detection products and services that achieves the highest safety standards, without compromising on the style and aesthetic that is synonymous with the Comelit brand.”
