Fire Resilience Excellence Awards

by Mark Rowe

Nominations for the inaugural Fire Resilience Excellence Awards (FREAs) close at midnight on Tuesday, January 14. As part of the OSPAs (Outstanding Security Performance Awards), these seek to celebrate outstanding contributions to fire resilience through innovative approaches, services, and products.

The FREAs feature ten categories, allowing for recognition across the industry. It’s free to submit entries, in these categories:

Outstanding Leader; Team; Organisation; Consultant; Installer/Integrator; Product/Innovation; Partnership/Collaboration; Risk Assessor; Insurance Broker and Loss Adjustor.

The nomination process can be completed online. Each category requires answers to two questions, and participants can enter as many categories as applicable. An independent panel, nominated by fire associations and special interest groups, will judge the entries. Finalists and winners will be announced at an awards dinner at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel, on Tuesday, April 8, next door to and during The Security & Safety Event Series at the NEC, Birmingham, running from April 8 to 11. The FREAs are sponsored by the insurer AXA.

Meanwhile the UK OSPAs run on Thursday evening, February 20, at the Royal Lancaster London after a thought leadership summit in the afternoon.
