Charity donation

by Mark Rowe

A child bereavement charity thanked property management CBRE for a donation by sending former Scotland and British Lions Rugby Player Craig Chalmers to present a certificate of thanks. Chalmers who is a long term supporter of the charity and has contributed to helping raise awareness and funds, presented Paul Dickenson, head of Management Services at CBRE with a certificate of thanks at its supplier conference. CBRE raised £3,250 by holding a raffle at its annual supplier conference which it then equally donated between two of its supplier’s chosen charities. Ward Security was one of the recipient suppliers who received it on behalf of Abigail’s Footsteps.

The charity was founded by Jo and David Ward, who is the managing director of Ward Security, after the stillborn birth of their baby girl Abigail in 2009. The charity exists to help midwives and carers, and parents who suffer the death of a child before or during birth. The charity relies on donations and fundraising.

David Ward said: “We are very thankful to everyone who support the CBRE raffle, this generous contribution will be used to continue the work and programmes we have in place to support people suffering a child bereavement.”
