The multi-national Securitas was marking International Women’s Day by hosting a table at a Guildhall, City of London breakfast event on Friday, March 8. Ten women from across its business attended, to celebrate the contribution and achievements of women in the company and across the wider security industry.
The event included a panel discussion and Q&A chaired by journalist and ITV newsreader Julie Etchingham. Securitas’ guests included women from across all sectors of the business, from back office to front-line roles in such as mobile, fire safety and aviation security.
Brian Riis Nielsen, Country President, Securitas UK said: “Gender diversity remains an issue across the security industry, despite the wide variety of roles and opportunities available to both men and women. Technology continues to transform the way we work but we still have much to do when it comes to highlighting the variety, excitement and broad range of career options available to women working in our industry.
