New directors

by Mark Rowe

The Bromsgrove-based security services company GMS Group has new directors. Lisa Nicholson, who has been appointed as Commercial Director, previously spent eight years at the Black Country Chamber. With a number of new contract wins under her belt already, she brings an extensive network of contacts and business support expertise to the thriving firm.

Joining as a Non-Executive Director, James Martin has 30 years of experience advising businesses and helping to manage change and growth. James’s new role will involve expanding GMS’s footprint in the insolvency market while helping to bring new products to market. And Gary Higgins also joins as a Non-Executive Director, with a background of 30 years’ police service.

Neil Male, CEO of GMS Group, said: “As GMS continues to evolve and we face new and exciting challenges, the business has to adapt accordingly. With our trio of new directors, we are well-positioned to continue to go from strength to strength, with Lisa, Gary and James already playing a vital role within the GMS family.”

The family-run firm, which recently enjoyed its 20th anniversary, employs over 500.
