Ward open Scots offices

by Mark Rowe

The Kent-based contractor Ward Security is expanding into Scotland with the opening of offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The former rugby player, Scotland international and British Lions fly-half Craig Chalmers joins the company as Business Development Manager. Andrew Foley, Ward Security Operations Manager who has been with the company for some time, will lead the operation.

David Ward, Managing Director of Ward Security said “Ward Security has enjoyed a period of growth and expansion into new services that has been driven by the efforts of the management team and cemented by the high levels of dedication and service of staff across the business. Scotland represents an excellent opportunity and we are both ready and confident that our range of professional services will be well received north of the border.

“Scotland is home to a number of key industries that we already have considerable experience in, as well as other sectors that we are keen to develop a presence in. The appointment of Craig Chalmers is a welcome one and his familiarity with the country, as well as his contacts and communication skills will be key in helping to build Ward Security’s profile and reputation in Scotland.”

Craig Chalmers brings ten years of experience within the security industry, having worked as Business Development Manager in the security industry since his retirement from professional rugby. Craig, pictured, said: “I will be initially focussed on building the facilities management business. However, the opportunities for Ward Security are massive in Scotland as there are few ACS approved companies able to provide the level of service we can. But with the experience of Andrew Foley and David and Kevin Ward in the FM security market, and with the company’s excellent reputation and proven levels of service, I know we can make the move into Scotland a great success.”
