The beauty brand Babor Beauty Group, that’s represented in 70 countries, does research and development as well as production at the company’s headquarters in Aachen, western Germany. Its logistics are based a few miles away in Eschweiler. In 2023, the family enterprise inaugurated a factory here, known as the โBabor Beauty Clusterโ. Digitalization aids safety, security
Bosch Building Technologies says that the solution was tailored to meet Babor requirements. It integrates, among other things, fire protection, intrusion alarm and access control systems, as well as video security covering the perimeter and premises. The AI-based video security analyses captured images while using pre-defined rules and only triggers an alarm if at least one of them is met. This avoids false alarms. A digital visitor management system saves time with a self-registration function. The aim; frictionless reception of guests and tradespeople that includes audit-proof archiving, which means less workload for Baborโs operating team. The ‘smart’ truck and parking space management comes with license plate detection for vehicle access control. Properly secured loads are also automatically documented. The moment a truck enters a pre-defined loading zone, an intelligent recognition function initiates video recording to providing documentation of the process.
Management system
The Babor Beauty Groupโs technical operations and facility management team is responsible for the companyโs headquarters in Aachen and the production and logistics cluster in Eschweiler. The safety and security systems of both sites have therefore been integrated into the โBuilding Integration System 360โ from Bosch Building Technologies. This centralized management platform provides control of all building systems.
