Access, storage integrations

by Mark Rowe

Wisenet WAVE video management software (VMS) from Hanwha Techwin is now able to support Paxton N2 access control and COLDSTORE video storage products.

Users of the Paxton Net2 access control are able to view event-driven video captured by high definition IP network cameras connected to Wisenet WAVE VMS. The integration, which is achievable via a free Paxton Net2 Plugin, provides the ability to visually verify the identity of anyone seeking to access to a site or sensitive areas of a building, plus provide video verification of alarm incidents.

WAVE has also been integrated with Veracity’s COLDSTORE ‘direct to disk’ storage which negates the need to install network video recorders (NVRs) to record and store the high definition images captured by Wisenet network cameras. COLDSTORE is able to support audio and metadata as well as video, while featuring camera-level fail-over, resilience to network interruptions and optional fully-redundant recording.

Bob (H.Y.) Hwang Ph.D., Managing Director of Hanwha Techwin Europe said: “These integrations are important to system integrators because Wisenet IP network video surveillance cameras are now regularly being specified alongside Net2 and COLDSTORE as part of integrated electronic security solutions. We are very pleased to have had the opportunity to work closely with the Paxton and Veracity technical teams in order to achieve the integrations. These are further examples of how WE MOVE with trust’ with technology partners to deliver added value to our mutual customers.”

Other products have been integrated with WiseNet WAVE, including A.I. Tech analytics and NCR point of sale systems. Click on www.hanwha-security.eu/wave-integration-partners/ to see the list.

About Wisenet WAVE

Introduced in January 2018, Wisenet WAVE is for the monitoring of up to 64 high-definition video streams. An auto-discover feature ensures connected cameras and third-party IP network devices can be addressed and set up. An intuitive ‘drag and drop’ tool is for setting up a display of live and recorded images on a single screen or video wall with customisable layouts and sizes.

Other features include a virtual PTZ which, with just a click of the mouse, enables operators to zoom in to see close-up detail of any suspicious activity; motion detection and video analytics support can be configured to generate alerts when user-defined incidents occur.
