Demonstration vehicles

by Mark Rowe

Hikvision has introduced a new fleet of demonstration vehicles to bring its latest technologies, products, and solutions to all parts of the UK (and Ireland in the near future, when lockdown begins to ease).

The vehicles have been designed with the needs of installers and integrators in mind, and are packed with working kit set up for practical demonstrations. They will allow installers to examine the latest technology developments and applications for themselves, and provide a means for them to showcase products to their own end-user customers, in locations convenient to them.

Gary Harmer, Sales Director at Hikvision UK & Ireland, said the new vehicles are particularly useful when regular roadshows and exhibitions are difficult – if not impossible – to stage and attend.

He said: “The vans are impressively equipped, and they allow us to deliver a literal roadshow full of newly developed and relevant products and technologies to those who utilise them every day. They’re the people who benefit most from a hands-on opportunity to see them in action.”

The demo vehicles will launch with displays of:

– AX PRO wireless alarms;
– Access control and intercoms, including the MinMoe Touch-Free Access Terminals;
– Key Hikvision technologies, including ColorVu, Acusense, Fisheye and PanoVu cameras, thermal perimeter protection and ANPR;
– ‘Back to Work’ solutions;
– Video and audio convergence applications; and
– HikCentral management software.

Gary Harmer added: “The products and solutions demonstrated in the vehicles will evolve over time as new technologies and innovations are introduced into our ranges. Installers and integrators, as well as their end user customers, will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the latest kit while maintaining all the required social distancing. And all of that can be done at their own premises or on-site at an ongoing or potential project.”

Installers and integrators should contact their local area Hikvision Business Development Manager for details.
