Integrated Systems

Recorder integration

by Mark Rowe

Dahua Technology, the manufacturer and supplier of security surveillance products, reports that its full range of penta-brid video recorders (XVR) have been integrated with Milestone Systems‘ XProtect Video Management Software (VMS).

Dahua says that its XVR is a newly developed HD Video Recorder based upon open structure to be compatible with multiple access technologies. The makers say that the recorder is for upgrades of existing video surveillance systems. XVR supports four mainstream analogue camera types in the market: that is, not only traditional CVBS (analogue) cameras, but also HDCVI, AHD and TVI, besides IP cameras. XVR recognises the signal formats from camera automatically, including both Dahua camera and third party cameras. True plug & play makes operation more users friendly and convenient.

Dahua’s IPC, NVR, XVR and thermal cameras are all integrated with the Milestone platform. The firms add that the integration covers live video, motion detection, edge-storage and pan and tilt control.
