by Mark Rowe

S2 Security has announced Version 4.7 NetBox software. It features a new, icon-based user interface. According tothe US developers, the new version simplifies the user experience with streamlined workflows and one-click access to event and alarm monitoring, video surveillance, system management and set-up.

John L Moss, CEO, S2 Security, said: “Version 4.7 updates and refines the entire NetBox user experience for end users and integrators. The clean, highly graphical design combined with the breadth and depth of functionality we’re known for provides an unprecedented user experience.”

The new user interface includes control-driven navigation with command controls that streamline workflows. Alarm status and recently viewed pages are accessible with one click, aiding response time. Custom menus are now available for access to frequently used controls on a user-by-user basis. An alarm resolution report tracks how long it takes operators to respond to alarms; a new system health monitoring feature generates an event when an S2 Network Node has low backup battery capacity or low voltage; and the product integrates with Allegion Schlage AD-400 locksets.

The NetBox access control and event monitoring software has seen more than 20 releases since 2004. Version 4.7 is now generally available for S2 Security Certified Integrators to download on S2 Support Central. Visit www.s2sys.com.
