Change service

by Mark Rowe

Auriga Consulting Ltd (Auriga), a data, ICT and security consultancy, reports its acceptance as an accredited supplier to the G-Cloud 5 Framework. The firm has also launched its Change, Transition and Transformation (CTT) service. CTT has been devised to meet public sector demand for embarking upon transformative Cloud projects as prescribed by Government Digital Strategy and departmental digital strategies.

Transformation has the power to improve how an organisation functions, delivering efficiency and productivity gains provided the transition is managed effectively. CTT provides that assurance by putting in place processes to guide digital transformation. Using a strategic methodology, CTT provides step-by-step guidance to assess, implement and appraise change, with staff buy-in, upskilling and periodic reviews all seen as key elements. There are six core phases organised under Programme and Project Management, Benefits Realisation and Change Management, and by working through these in partnership with the organisation the transition is handled smoothly to achieve the desired outcomes.

Auriga has also added to its offerings on the G-Cloud 5 platform. The CLAS and CESG Certified Professional (CCP) Consultancy Service now acts as a IA resource, capable of providing strategy, policy and governance through to operational assurance activities such as audit and Security Operating Procedures (SyOPs).

The Government Security Classifications Policy (GSCP) Transition Service has also been revised to include guidance on implementing GSCP in concert with other areas, such as PSN Onboarding, risk management process reengineering, Service Integration and Management (SIAM) support, and the consumption and adoption of Cloud services under GSCP.

The Auriga portfolio on G-Cloud now includes: CTT; the CLAS and CESG Professional Consultancy Service; Cloud Security Services; Cyber Security and Information Assurance Services; GSCP Transition Service; IMS ISO27001 Implementation Services; Secure Business Process Analysis, Technical Security and Design and, PSN Onboarding Services ensuring true life cycle security and data services to G-Cloud customers.

G-Cloud 5 went live in May 2014 and is the latest incarnation of the G-Cloud framework which was launched in February 2012 as a way for central and local government to access a wide range of IT services quickly and competitively. Users can buy services ‘off-the-shelf’ as fixed priced offerings via the CloudStore portal. The G-Cloud framework reported total sales of £125m by the end of February 2014.

Louise T Dunne, Managing Director, said: “Transformative technology has the power to deliver real innovation, productivity and efficiency but if badly managed it can also consume resources and ostracise staff. Organisational transformation should never be a ‘leap of faith’. Such initiatives must be carefully planned and executed if they are to realise their potential and achieve the goals of the organisation Auriga has substantial experience in change management and business transformation gained on the ground through implementing Cloud initiatives in the public and private sector. By combining these complementary processes, we’re able to make our expertise commercially available on the CloudStore for the first time. CTT will enable many public sector organisations to benefit from a tried and tested methodology that can positively transform their organisation now and into the future.”
