Network video appliances

BCDVideo has released its EVO Series of network video recorders. The US company says that these appliances come pre-loaded with a choice of Axis Camera Station, Milestone XProtect, or OnSSI Ocularis licenses. Each appliance offers a turnkey NVR solution to the security installer and includes an Intel Xeon processor, BCDVideo’s SMARTconnect and SMARTvms, lifetime telephone support, and a three-year worldwide on-site warranty.

The EVO10, pictured, measures 6.9 inches wide by 1.3 inches high by seven inches deep and weighs less than three pounds. With its standard VESA mounting capability, the unit is compact enough to attach to a video monitor to be desk-free, the makers say. This product comes standard with eight pre-installed licenses, for Axis Camera Station, Milestone XProtect Essential, or OnSSI Ocularis PS. A 1TB Solid State Hybrid video drive is included, for live recording and play-back for up to 16 cameras.

The EVO30 comes with a choice of ten or 20 pre-installed licenses, for Axis Camera Station, Milestone XProtect Essential, or OnSSI Ocularis PS. The EVO30 iworks with up to 32 IP network cameras. The unit features a 120GB Solid State Drive for the Windows 7 Professional operating system and the VMS. Models are available in either 2TB or 4TB models, both available with RAID 1 for redundancy.

And BCDVideo’s EVO50 is a 2U rack-mount appliance pre-loaded with up to 40 pre-installed licenses, with models available with Axis Camera Station, Milestone XProtect Express, or OnSSI Ocularis IS. This Microsoft Windows 2012-driven system is available with up to 24TB of 6G SAS multi-channel video storage, RAID1/5 technology, and redundant power. In addition to BCDVideo’s SMARTconnect and SMARTvms remote technologies, the EVO50 also includes SMARTrecovery, BCDVideo’s disaster recovery module.
