Networking legacy

by Msecadm4921

video and fibre optic communication transmission and control product company has published a new white paper that provides information and guidelines for enabling IP connectivity of analogue and legacy video surveillance and security devices.

โ€œNetwork Connectivity for Legacy Security Systemsโ€ is available on the American Fibertek, Inc. (AFI) website at www.americanfibertek.com, located under the New Products tab on the Products section of the website.
ย
โ€œUpgrading an existing analogue video surveillance or security system to network functionality is now both easier and more economical with AFIโ€™s network communication devices,โ€ said Jack Fernandes, President and CEO of AFI. โ€œThe white paper offers a practical overview, with examples, of how our Net I/O series allows network connectivity of virtually any video, access control and alarm or fire/safety devices.โ€
ย
Content in the white paper includes technical descriptions such as accessing and configuring tasks through a Web browser and integrating video or access control systems. The paper also discusses the advantages of immediate communication that a networked system allows. Distance restrictions are eliminated because information from the alarms can be sent anywhere thereโ€™s internet access in the form of text messages or emails.
ย
With minimal investment, AFI products such as the Net I/O series can bring legacy video surveillance and security systems onto the network without going through a server and enable users to gain the speed and advantages of a network connected system.
ย
For more information and free software demonstration downloads, visit AFIโ€™s new website at www.americanfibertek.com.
