Scots CCTV project

A fully integrated control room for Renfrewshire Council and its partners will be installed by Boston Networks. The control room will be IP including Video Management Software (VMS) and a Physical Security Information Management system (PSIM) to monitoring around Renfrewshire.

Boston Networks will begin the project by making site surveys then upgrading and adding to the public space CCTV cameras across Renfrewshire. A new communications network will be designed for the dedicated transmission of data to integrate with the new control room. In a second phase Boston work to deliver what the firm terms an entirely cohesive security solution and 24/7 centralised monitoring. Boston Networks will define the migration and convergence of a number of other security and safety systems to be monitored within the new control room.

Renfrewshire Council and community safety partners will be able to integrate currently proprietary security systems including:

· Intruder and Fire Alarm and Detection
· Electronic Access Control
· Intercom Door Release
· Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR); and
· Building Management and lone working system

Boston Networks will also provide a bespoke maintenance and support service, from its Network Operations Centre, based in Glasgow. The services will have defined service level agreements as well as health checks, usage statistics and risk analysis.
