Vista launch at IFSEC

by Mark Rowe

Vista is launching its new range of IP cameras, VK2. As part of the VK2 family of products, VK2 cameras are suitable the firm says for the vast majority of applications with products ranging from VGA resolution cameras to 2MP units, in both 4:3 and 16:9 full HD 1080p formats.

Built-in SD cards allow for local (edge) recording to the cameras themselves. This means that, should the network fail, the camera will continue recording and footage can still be retrieved remotely. Video footage is accessible via mobile and desktop solutions.

All the products in the range can be configured, viewed and controlled using a number of common internet browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome. All the cameras contain physical inputs and outputs for connection to external devices.

Triple streaming is being provided on new models, giving three simultaneous streams of video, where resolution can be independently set up to 1080p per stream. Selected models also offer remote control of zoom and focus via client or mobile applications, with the ability for the camera to “auto-focus” on the shift from day to night time operation.

Mark Pritchard, Divisional Director – Vista, says: “We’ve spent a significant amount of time in development with these cameras and have built in some fantastic features, such as Boost Technology. This automatically provides the cameras with the capability to increase frame rate on alarm activation, maximising effectiveness and minimising storage requirements.

Vista will be at IFSEC this May (Hall 4, stand E40) exhibiting its IP CCTV products. Visit – http://www.vista-cctv.com/ip
