GAI awards

by Mark Rowe

Two of Abloy UK’s employees have gained a diploma from the Guild Of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI), and others have also taken the next steps towards the qualification.

Rob Bennett and Stuart Courcoux have both become Dip GAI M inst AI this year, having passed the GAI Diploma Exam. Stuart has also been awarded a prize from the GAI in recognition of his exceptional performance. This brings the total number of Abloy UK employees that have been given this additional accolade to three, although the GAI has not yet announced what prize has been awarded.

Pat Jefferies, Commercial Director of Abloy UK, said: “This qualification is not easy and it requires dedication and hard work to achieve success, so we would like to congratulate Rob and Stuart on this award.”

Abloy has five other successes at Level 2 for 2013. Caroline Jones, Sabrina Bettles, Ian Edwards, John Joyce and Keir Philp all passed year two of the qualification.

Pat added: “Once again we’d like to say well done on this excellent result for our employees individually and for Abloy UK. We also have two team members, Veeru Harrad and Tom Jenkins, who passed Level 1 of the qualification, which is a good starting point to move closer to final qualification.”
