Image Scan, an AIM-listed x-ray imaging product has appointed William Mawer as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Mawer has been working as a consultant to the company for four months. The Company covers the security and industrial inspection markets. Mr Mawer brings experience of the x-ray industry having worked for 13 years with London-listed Smiths Group plc. For most of that time he held senior executive positions in Smiths Detection, the security x-ray product firm. More recently he has acted in a consultancy capacity for a number of other technology companies. According to the firm, his experience in the x-ray security sector will be instrumental in supporting the development plans and driving forward the sales and marketing strategy.
William Mawer said: “I am delighted to be joining the board of Image Scan at such a pivotal time in its PLC history. Whilst our recently issued full year results reflected a loss, 2013 saw the broadening of the product base by incremental development, profitability restored in the second half of the year and a significantly increased order intake. The Board remains universally focused on driving value for all shareholders.
“I look forward to working with the team and welcome Richard Leaver as Non-Executive Director to our Board.
