Penny + Giles – a business unit of Curtiss- Wright Controls and manufacturer of joystick controllers, solenoids and precision sensing products – was at this year’s IFSEC show to promote its joystick controllers and range of industrial solenoids.

The company’s range of joystick controllers includes the fingertip-controlled JC025 and JC030 rockers and multi-axis JC400 and JC2000, all of which are the UK firm says suitable for CCTV applications, low-profile panel assemblies and control consoles.

The Penny + Giles JC2000 joystick controller is, for example, available in one-, two or three-axis configurations and can be supplied with five handle styles, two of which can be fitted with a push button switch in a choice of five different colours. Its compact under-panel size, below-flange depth of only 31mm, low operational force and high reliability makes it suitable it  is claimed for CCTV control room applications.

Also on the stand were the range of Penny + Giles solenoid actuators, including its open-frame, tubular, AC laminated and latching versions, which are suitable the firm says for applications including vehicle door and transfer hatch locks, turnstiles and electric strikes and machine guards and key tracking.
