Charter on move

A London-based guarding contractor is relocating its headquarters to Canary Wharf on December 10. Established for 35 years, Charter Security has always had offices in east London and has been based in Cambridge House in Barking since 2000.

Claire Lambert, Charter’s managing director said: “With our ‘New Generation’ Charter team, and our increasing corporate and commercial opportunities we took the decision to move closer to London. From our new premises in Canary Wharf we will be able to provide an even more responsive service and a fabulous working environment for our people.”

Besides manned guarding the company offers 24 hour control room services and alarm response; key-holding; remote monitoring; lone working care services; check call services; and dispatch teams for mobile response.

The company has worked on the Waterloo Passenger Terminal, the Eurotunnel project from London to Ashford, and The Cutty Sark, the Aquatic Centre in the Olympic Village, to Balfour Beatty’s flagship critical project, the regeneration of Blackfriars station; The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Borough Community.
