Dahua Technology, the Chinese manufacturer and supplier of video surveillance products based in Hangzhou, has worked with Banco do Brasil S.A. (Bank of Brazil) on an upgrade of DVRs and analogue cameras. The project involves various cities in Brazil and more than 20,000 analogue cameras and 1500 digital recorders.

Banco do Brasil S.A. (Bank of Brazil) is the largest Brazilian and Latin American bank by assets, and the third by market value, and based in Brasília. According to the manufacturer, the products that Bank of Brazil been used before were clunky, unstable and less compatible. The bank decided to replace its DVRs and analogue cameras to upgrade their whole security system.

Dahua points to compatibility of its products; the DVRs and analogue cameras could work with the bank’s original system. Supplied by Dahua were the DVR2116H Digital Video Recorder, describe as an entry-level DVR which features H.264 dual-stream video compression and supports 1 SATA HDD up to 4TB. Two USB interfaces are available and the product supports mobile P2P function.

As for analogue cameras, Dahua ensured all the cameras offer optimized infrared effect, color adjustment and faster responding to colour conversion.

Management software receives all the signals from the sensors, video cameras, access control systems, detection and anti-burglary alarm, fire detection and signalling systems.

William Zhou, Sales Director of Latin-America and Africa at Dahua Technology, said: “This is a surely successful cooperation for both of Dahua and Bank of Brazil. We are looking forward further cooperation with Bank of Brazil after we upgraded its DVRs. Dahua provided fully technical support to the bank in order to ensure the project successfully. We are hoping the bank could become one of the oldest banks in the world but within the advanced surveillance products and solutions. ”
