Shopping centre intercom

by Mark Rowe

Door entry intercom over IP (Internet Protocol) has been deployed by Scotshield Fire & Security in a Scottish shopping centre. Braehead Shopping Centre has nine pedestal mounted video door stations controlling vehicle access to the centre’s service area. They are connected over a fibre network to the site security office where they are monitored on a video master handset. The handset lets the security staff pan tilt and zoom the door station’s cameras, speak with the vehicle drivers, and to allow access remotely via the door station’s relay output. The Aiphone kit was supplied by BC Technology Ltd.
