Multi-Skilled Security Systems Engineer | Up to £40,000
We’re on the hunt for a highly capable Multi-Skilled Engineer with proven experience in the installation, servicing, and commissioning of Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership of projects, and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and commission Intruder Alarm systems (primarily Pyronix)
- Install and maintain CCTV systems (Hikvision and similar)
- Install and configure Access Control systems (Paxton and other client-specified platforms)
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs and upgrades
- Liaise with clients on-site to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues
- Complete documentation and reports accurately and on time
- Work independently or as part of a team on varied projects
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in security systems installation
Strong working knowledge of:
- Pyronix intruder systems
- Hikvision CCTV systems
- Paxton access control systems (plus flexibility to work with other brands)
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence (or local equivalent)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Desirable:
- ECS/CSCS card or equivalent
- IPAF/PASMA certification
- Experience with networking and IP-based systems
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when required
