Role: Fire Project Manager
Location: West London
Salary: Up to £60,000 basic + Car or Car Allowance + Bonus

We are seeking a skilled Fire Suppression Design Engineer to lead the design and coordination of Fire Suppression, Hydrant, and Dry/Wet Riser Systems for medium to large-scale projects across the Rail, Highways, and Power Infrastructure sectors. You will ensure technical excellence, compliance, and efficient project delivery, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design and verification of Fire Suppression Systems in line with BS9990, BS EN 12845, and related standards.

  • Coordinate and review MEP consultant and contractor designs for compliance and constructability.

  • Develop Fire Alarm Cause & Effect documentation and manage third-party interfaces.

  • Support Engineering Managers with system integration and technical issues.

  • Promote standardisation, value engineering, and compliance with accreditation bodies (e.g., BRE Global).

  • Support procurement, tendering, and project delivery.

  • Mentor and manage team members, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and quality standards.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Experience & Skills Required:

  • Strong technical knowledge of Fire Suppression, Hydrant, and Riser systems.

  • Proven experience in both active and passive fire safety design.
  • Proficiency with CAD/BIM software for fire systems.
  • Demonstrated success managing designs from tender to certification.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Qualifications:
  • Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • LPCB Basic Sprinkler Design Competency.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IFE, IMechE).
  • Professional registration (EngTech, IEng, or CEng) desirable.
