Security Systems Engineer
Location: Austin or San Antonio, TX (hybrid, with regional travel)
Type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: $95,000–$115,000 + incentive plan, overtime and benefits

The Role: A senior hands-on engineering role installing, servicing and maintaining integrated security systems, mainly across hospital campuses with a growing data center portfolio. You’ll be the trusted technical lead on site, working with little supervision and representing the business directly to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, program, commission and maintain Lenel OnGuard and Genetec access control and video systems
- Diagnose and resolve complex faults, keeping downtime minimal in 24/7 clinical and data center environments
- Carry out preventive maintenance across access control, CCTV, intrusion and intercom systems
- Pull, terminate and test cabling for new installs and upgrades
- Document all installation and service activity accurately
- Travel to client sites across the region as needed
Requirements
- 5+ years hands-on installing and servicing enterprise electronic security systems
- Hands-on Lenel OnGuard and Genetec Security Center experience (required)
- Experience in healthcare and/or data center environments preferred
- IP networking for security devices (PoE, VLANs, IP addressing)
- Based within ~30 miles of Austin or San Antonio
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
