Account Manager – Electronic Security Solutions

Location: Amersham (Head Office)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week)
Salary: £40,000 + Commission Opportunities

Are you an experienced Account Manager with a passion for delivering exceptional client service and driving business growth? Our client, a leading provider of enterprise security solutions, is looking for a proactive, relationship-focused professional to join their team and manage key accounts across the region.

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your sales expertise, technical knowledge, and customer engagement skills to maintain and expand strategic client relationships.


The Role

As an Account Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring satisfaction, fostering long-term partnerships, and identifying new business opportunities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing, maintaining, and developing client accounts.

  • Conducting site visits and surveys to fully understand client requirements.

  • Preparing quotations, pricing documents, and ensuring technical and commercial accuracy.

  • Following up on quotes and assisting the estimating team with bids for new projects.

  • Updating sales forecasts and reporting regularly to management.

  • Handing over projects to the delivery team while maintaining client communication.

  • Keeping clients informed of new technologies, solutions, and industry developments.

  • Identifying upselling or cross-selling opportunities and introducing new clients to the business.

  • Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to secure the best solutions and pricing.


Skills & Experience

We’re looking for a candidate who can combine technical knowledge with strong commercial acumen:

  • Proven experience in security systems sales or account management.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise security systems (training provided where needed).

  • Knowledge of security products and manufacturers, supported by relevant training.

  • Demonstrable success in business development and achieving sales targets.

  • Excellent time-management, multitasking, and prioritisation skills.

  • High proficiency in MS 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel).

  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strong commercial mindset with experience in estimating, costing, and budgeting.


Role Requirements

  • Valid driving licence, with travel across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, London, and the Home Counties.

  • Flexible working split between the head office, home, and client sites.

  • Site visits often on construction sites – practical, hands-on approach required.
