Job Title: Fire Detection Project Manager
Location: Greater Manchester

Rate: £350 to £370 p/day

Technical Resources are seeking an experienced Fire Detection Project Manager to oversee multiple fire alarm upgrade and installation projects. The successful candidate will manage several sites concurrently, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of all works in line with project deadlines and client expectations.

Description of contract/programme of works:

  • Manage the delivery of fire detection system installations and upgrades across multiple retail sites.
  • Supervise site teams carrying out electrical and fire alarm installation and commissioning works.
  • Act as the main client point of contact, providing regular updates and maintaining strong communication channels.
  • Conduct site briefings and toolbox talks to ensure safety and clarity of scope.
  • Write, review, and execute site-specific RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
  • Monitor and report daily and weekly progress, addressing any project risks or delays.
  • Ensure project milestones, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
  • Liaise with commissioning engineers and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery.

Experience required:

  • Proven experience managing fire detection or electrical installation projects.

  • Strong understanding of BS 5839 fire detection regulations and installation standards.

  • Experience delivering projects in live retail or commercial environments.

  • Excellent organisational, communication, and client-facing skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.

Required documentation/certifications/tooling:

  • ECS / CSCS Card

  • SSSTS / SMSTS

  • Electrical or Fire Engineering background

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Competent in producing RAMS and project documentation
