Role: Fire Project Manager
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Fire Project Manager based in Peterborough, looking to take ownership of high-value fire protection projects from start to finish? Technical Resources are recruiting for a Fire Project Manager to join a leading fire specialist, delivering complex fire alarm and sprinkler installations across multiple sites. This is a role for someone who leads from the front, drives standards, and takes pride in delivering projects safely, on time, and to specification.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards
- Manage projects from initial planning through to completion, working closely with the Operations Manager
- Ensure all works commence with approved RAMS, job descriptions, and pre-start site assessments
- Promote a proactive Health & Safety culture, carrying out audits and ongoing risk assessments
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
- Attend site and client meetings, providing progress updates and technical feedback
- Oversee system handovers, client demonstrations, and final site clearances
- Manage equipment stock at project start and completion
- Produce and issue O&M manuals and ensure all certification and documentation are completed
- Upload project documentation to client platforms and support incident investigations where required
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Proven experience managing engineers and coordinating multiple fire installation projects
- Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm and sprinkler installation works
- Recognised Health & Safety qualification (SMSTS or equivalent)
- Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
- Good IT literacy (Microsoft Office and project systems)
- Full UK driving licence
