Our client is a well-established fire and security system integrator looking for an experienced Senior Fire & Security Service Engineer to join their growing team. This is an opportunity to take on a technical leadership role where you’ll manage key client relationships, resolve complex system issues, and support the development of engineers across the business.
Position Overview
As Senior Fire & Security Service Engineer, you’ll operate at the highest technical level, taking ownership of important client sites and leading on complex service and maintenance activities. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining system integrity across fire and security installations while mentoring junior team members and ensuring technical standards are consistently met. This position combines hands-on technical work with leadership responsibilities, making a direct impact on service quality and team development.
Responsibilities

Attend and resolve higher-level faults and system breakdowns across client sites

Commission small works and project installations to required standards
-
Lead and set up larger planned preventative maintenance visits
-
Carry out general service and maintenance of fire and security systems
-
Audit systems and manage documentation across key client locations
-
Conduct surveys and provide quotation information for defective equipment and remedial works

Train, mentor and develop junior engineers to improve team capability
-
Complete remedial and small works installations where required
-
Identify system improvements and provide technical recommendations to clients
Requirements
-
Proven experience operating at senior level within fire and security engineering
-
Ability to take ownership of key sites and manage complex technical issues independently
-
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across fire and security systems
-
Experience in commissioning, service, and maintenance of integrated systems
-
Capability to mentor and develop junior engineers effectively
-
Excellent documentation and audit skills with attention to detail
-
Strong client-facing communication skills and professional approach
-
Full UK driving licence
