Fire Sprinkler Project Sales Manager

Location: Denver, Colorado
Salary: $85,000 – $115,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission
OTE: $150,000 – $200,000+

A leading fire protection contractor is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Project Sales Manager to join its rapidly growing Denver operation. Role Summary

Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Fire Sprinkler Project Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing fire sprinkler installation projects across the Denver market. This role focuses on project sales rather than recurring service agreements and offers the opportunity to inherit existing customer relationships while actively expanding the client base.

The successful candidate will cultivate relationships with general contractors, developers, owners, and industry stakeholders, while managing opportunities from initial pursuit through project turnover. Success in the role will be driven by strong industry knowledge, technical expertise, relationship-building skills, and a commitment to delivering profitable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new fire sprinkler project opportunities throughout the Denver market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, consultants, and end users.
  • Generate accurate estimates, quotations, proposals, and bid submissions.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and applicable fire protection codes.
  • Negotiate contracts and secure profitable project awards.
  • Collaborate closely with design, project management, and field teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Support project turnover activities and maintain customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in industry events, networking functions, and professional associations.
  • Manage projects sold through completion, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational success. 

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of fire sprinkler project sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems, construction processes, and project delivery.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and NFPA codes.
  • Proven track record of generating revenue and winning new business.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Experience preparing estimates, quotations, and proposals.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a market.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and construction-related software platforms. 

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous fire sprinkler design experience.
  • Experience performing hydraulic calculations.
  • Fire sprinkler project management experience.
  • NICET certification.
  • Degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

  • Base salary between $85,000 and $115,000.
  • Uncapped commission plan paid from the first dollar of margin generated.

Location & Work Pattern

Location: Denver, Colorado
Work Pattern: Primarily office and field-based, with regular travel throughout the local market to meet customers, attend job sites, and support project development.
Relocation: Assistance may be available for exceptional candidates, although local market knowledge and familiarity with Colorado fire protection requirements is highly desirable.
