The manufacturer Panasonic has acquired a Video Surveillance as-a-Service (VSaaS) company, Cameramanager.com. More news and pictures in the August print issue of Professional Security Magazine. According to Panasonic, itโs acquired this cloud-based CCTV company as it looks to extend its cloud-based products to the business and consumer markets. Cameramanager.com staff will join Panasonic Europe.
Speaking at Panasonic offices in Amsterdam, Laurent Abadie, Chairman and CEO, Panasonic Europe, said: โThis acquisition is an important strategic step towards enhancing our smart and connected services offering in the European and CIS market. With Cameramanager.comโs bespoke software and cloud-based solutions complementing our existing security business, we will be able to significantly enhance our presence in this space, by bringing together technical know-how and software skills and equipping us with the necessary assets to respond to future demands in cloud services.โ
