The facilities management contractor OCS has won a one-year extension to its contract with Cwm Taf NHS Trust to provide manned guarding services at the Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil, Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant and St Tydfil’s Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil.

The contract includes the provision of security services to the three hospitals, including the A&E wards. It also covers the monitoring of the maternity ward, baby security tagging, car park monitoring and key holding/activation services.

Darrell Jones, Regional Operations Manager, said: “OCS has been providing services to Cwm Taf NHS Trust for the last five years and this contract extension builds on the excellent working relationship we have with the client. We have a great team who regularly exceed the client’s expectations and this extension is a just reward for our approach.”
