NDI Recognition Systems, an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) provider, has announced the release of their latest version of mobile ANPR software called SpeedPlate.
The new software V8 has been designed the firm says for in-vehicle, mobile or portable ANPR operations.
It is built on the Talon V8 ANPR recognition engine (which exceeds NPIA ACPO ANPR Standards (NAAS) for data capture and accuracy), and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Express database engine. SpeedPlate V8 also uses NDI-RSโ latest NPIA certified BOF Web Services application for the central management of user lists, access permissions and hotlist distribution.
SpeedPlate V8 offers customisable coloured alarms and sounds which can be prioritised, dynamic searches and the optional selection of hotlists to be used for specific operations. All hotlists can be now set-up to match the seven colours of the BOF hotlists’ palette, providing visual feedback and correlation between the two systems.
The dynamic wild card search facility allows retrieval of vehicle registrations amongst thousands of hits. V8 combined with BOF Web Services means integration with other law enforcement databases such as Police National Computer (PNC) and Back Office Facility (BOF) FastTrack.
The makers add that this new version of SpeedPlate has been updated to provide a clean, modern look and feel to the touch-based user interface. The new design means that all of SpeedPlateโs features are only one or two touches away. The ANPR application features a newly resized and enlarged on-screen keyboard and function keys ideal for all touch screen monitors.
