Christmas is coming – and that means a seasonal rush for event and venue steward providers.
Firewalker Events Security Ltd reports it is preparing itself for one of the busiest Christmas is coming in their three year history. The outdoor event stewarding and security firm has a personal interest in one event – the Birmingham City Council Pantomime Horse Grand National.
Chris Woodford, Operations Director, said: "The lead up to traditional family events in November and December means that we do pull out all the stops logistically to make all the events we attend an enjoyable time for the public and the staff. We kick off the season with a council fireworks display in Redditch, followed by Birmingham Councilโs largest fireworks display the day after. We then move into Birmingham City Centre for the annual Christmas lights switch on and remain in location for the Diwali Celebrations. Add to that the Cannock and Stafford Christmas lights switch on events, a canal boat parade and our events manager running in the pantomime race, and then we really do have our hands full. If panto horses werenโt enough, Birmingham has decided to hold a very large reindeer lantern parade, so the planning for that event alone is taking up plenty of our time. That just leaves five Premiership football matches to โpoliceโ in a four week period. A normal day at the office!"
