University College London is running an industry engagement evening for UCL SECReT – the UCL Security Science Doctoral Research Training Centre. It‚Äôs from 6pm to 8pm, on Monday, December 5….
The venue: Lecture Theatre 106, First Floor, Roberts Engineering Building, Malet Place off Torrington Place, Opposite Waterstones, University College London, LONDON WC1E 7JE
This event say organisers is designed to create mutually beneficial interactions between industry and public-sector organisations and the students of UCL SECReT. Organisations can gain by accessing some of the brightest minds in the UK to work on real-world research problems central to their own agendas, whilst students benefit from mentorship, access to data, facilities and practitioner expertise. (The evening includes a briefing for current and prospective partners of the aims, structure and focus of the centre.)
UCL’s current batch of 16 students will introduce themselves and their research interests by presenting ‘crime scenarios’ (it will be up the audience to decide which team has done the best job!) The students come from a range of backgrounds and research interests ranging from forensic and computer sciences through to engineering, laws, risk, intelligence and psychology. The event is complimentary.
