Gaming Lock

by msecadm4921

Camlock Systems has launched a new 12-change ‘Camatic’ lock system for use in the amusement and gaming industries.

The product minimises, it is claimed, the risk of loss through unauthorised duplicate keys being used to open locks.

The new lock offers pick resistance, according to the manufacturers, and combines several of the firm’s technologies into one product including a 12 pin RPT mechanism, the Camatic combination change system and the patented ‘Octagon’ design.

Its re-programmable mechanism eliminates the need to replace locks when key security is breached due to the loss or theft of keys, it is claimed. Where frequent or routine combination changes are required, the increased number of combinations available in the 12-change version provides for a longer system life over 8-change locks, according to the makers.

Each suite of Octagon Camatic locks and keys is built to a unique combination and allocated exclusively to one user. This customer alone may purchase further quantities of locks or keys as part of the suite, and only by way of a written order. Additionally, this key combination may be registered with Camlock, by the customer providing signatures of personnel authorised to order extra keys. Then, Camlock adds, it will only accept orders for extra keys signed by a permitted person. The new lock comes in three body lengths: 18mm, 25mm and 30mm.
