Why Security KIN

For the last three years, Paul Osborne the Sector Development Executive for Cranfield University has been funded through South East England Development Agency’s Knowledge Network Programme to develop a Security Knowledge and Innovation Network (Security KIN). The aim of the Security KIN is to mobilise and bring together innovators from large and small companies and the knowledge base to address current security issues.

During the event, Paul Osborne, will outline some of the security related research and development funding opportunities available under European Programmes that may be relevant to organisations developing sensing technologies. He will discuss the factors that should be considered by security companies considering engaging in European R&D collaborations, the factors that increase the prospects or submitting a successful bid and the further challenge of achieving successful commercialisation of the results of EU funded collaborative R&D. He will then describe some of the support opportunities that are available to assist organisations engaging in European Programmes.
