Post Office Ltd is seeking interested suppliers to tender for a number of security services under its Grapevine security services banner.

Post Office Ltd, Part of Royal Mail Group Ltd, is seeking a single supplier to provide the following security services nationally across the UK (including Northern Ireland) under their Grapevine security services banner;<br><br>1) Intelligence Management Information – The provision and maintenance of an Intelligence Management Information system that logs reports from Postmasters/Sub Postmasters of suspicious/illegal behaviour in or around PO Ltd Sub or Crown Post Offices. Intelligence can be received from various means such as the Police etc. Also, the logging of any reports that arise from security services being undertaken in 2 and 3 below.<br><br>2) The provision of covert surveillance to prevent burglaries or apprehend burglars in the act.<br><br>3)The provision of overt surveillance, to provide security staff in vehicles to conduct overt surveillance on PO Ltd Cash in Transit deliveries and collections.<br><br>4) A 24/7 security call centre where the PO Ltd network of Sub and Crown Offices can call in any reports of suspicious/illegal behaviour in or around their premises. The call centre will have the ability to "Text blast" meaning the sending of bulk text warnings to registered users in a defined area around the reported location. The centre will also liaise with Law Enforcement Agencies, Industry partners specifically BSIA (British Security Industry Association), CSLG (Cash Security Liaison Group), BBA (British Bankers association) and BBSA (British Building Society Association).<br><br>5) Lone worker – A security communication system, via satellite, where lone PO Ltd remote or outreach Postmasters who travel and set up for business, have the ability to notify safe arrival at the working destination, activate an alarm for attack or suspicious behaviour and notify safe arrival back to the office location.<br><br>6) Grapevine® Website – Either the setting up of a Grapevine webpage or hosting and maintaining an established Grapevine webpage. The webpage will provide information that includes but is not limited to logging of suspicious behaviour reports as well as security incidents. The webpage will be used by, amongst others, the police to gather information and indicate crime hotspots that need attention.<br><br>7) Hostage Line – The provision of a dedicated secure hostage line. An example of use is the taking hostage of a Cash Centre manager’s family, and the manager being forced to assist with the robbery of the cash centre.<br><br>8) Provision of Vehicle tracking services technology to track Post Office Ltd Cash in Transit vehicles. <br><br>9) Another security strand that may be added to the contract at a later date is the requirement for a CCTV repository, possibly on the Grapevine website, where pictures/videos of suspicious behaviour or committed crimes can be loaded remotely and stored for sight by the police etc. <br><br>In addition to the current known requirements outlined above, Post Office Ltd reserves the right to add additional security related services to the contract to be awarded, that are key to maintaining required security services under Grapevine. This may occur during the life of the contract.<br><br>Contract to be awarded is for 36 months with options to extend a further 24 months in 12 month periods.
