The ninth National Problem Oriented Partnership Conference, titled Building Safer Neighbourhoods Together, runs from Tuesday, September 5 to Thursday September 7 at the Hilton Metropol Hotel, NEC Birmingham.
The annual conference is for those working on reducing and preventing crime in the community, organisers report. Invited speakers include Professor Nick Tilley, and Jerry Kirkby – Head of Neighbourhood Policing Programme. New Home Office Minister Vernon Coaker MP has been invited to open the conference with conference hosts Chief Constables Steve Green and Sean Price.
Organisers say that the event is for those who want to brush up on problem solving skills, or understand how to move theory into practice, or meet people who have already done that across the UK.
