Glasgow Games training

by Mark Rowe

Before this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow last month, more than 20 Maybo-certified trainers worked during the two months leading up to the event. Some 2000 Ministry of Defence personnel from across the armed services were trained in conflict management and physical intervention by Maybo with partners including Integer, Omni and Perseus. The trainers add that the military gained qualifications that will help them in their careers: a Games legacy. Maybo Chief Executive Bill Fox said, “We are delighted to have been the programme of choice for security and MOD personnel at both the London 2012 Olympics and the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. The professionalism of the employers, trainers and front line personnel we have worked with has been truly exceptional.”
