Scots exam approval

by msecadm4921

The exam awarding body  Industry Qualifications (IQ) announced that it has gained regulatory approval for Scotland, and is now operational across the four countries that comprise the UK. IQ expects to offer its first awards in Scotland from July 1.

Raymond Clarke, Chief Executive of IQ, said: “We are delighted to gain accreditation. The process has taken longer than we would have hoped but we greatly appreciate the care and attention to detail of SQA accreditation staff in becoming familiar with the IQ approach and operation, which is very different to the norm. We look forward to taking our place in the Scottish educational community.”

The exam body’s first awards will be delivered in the security sector, but IQ says its portfolio for Scotland is expected to broaden quickly during the remainder of 2012.
